FRANCESCO BOTTI
Francesco Botti is an Italian organist from Brescia. He is 21 years old and is taking the two-year Master's Degree in Organ and Organ Composition at the "E.F. Dall'Abaco" Music Conservatory of Verona with Maestro Massimiliano Raschietti as his supervisor. On November 11, 2021, he graduated, maxima cum laude, with his three-year Bachelor's Degree in Organ and Organ Composition at the "Luca Marenzio" Music Conservatory of Brescia with Maestro Giorgio Benati and Maestro Giorgio Parolini as his teachers. In 2019 he also completed, maxima cum laude, the High School Certification in Administrative Finance and Marketing at the "Capirola" School in Leno (Brescia). He was awarded 2nd Prize in his category, at the International Organ Competition of Tricesimo-Udine In September 2019 (with Olivier Latry, Titular Organist of the Cathedral of "Notre Dame" de Paris, as President of the Jury) and in the following month he was finalist in the "Premio Nazionale delle Arti" organ competition.
Earlier he was winner, in his category, at the National Organ Competition in Bibione (with Maestro Wolfgang Seifen as Jury President) and finalist at the Northern Ireland International Organ Competition 2018. He has attended various Masterclasses with esteemed organists such as Fausto Caporali (specialising in Olivier Messiaen; Improvisation), Ton Koopman (specialising in J.S. Bach repertoire) and Olivier Latry (dealing with 19th and 20th century French Organ Music). He has taken an active part in the concerts of the "Bach's Opera Omnia" project, promoted by the Music Conservatories of Brescia and Castelfranco Veneto in collaboration with the Organ Class of Maestro Giorgio Benati. Francesco has immersed himself in various programs including all of the "18 Chorales of Leipzig”, including the first “Weimar version”, the Canonical Variations BWV 769 as well as several Preludes, Toccatas and Fugues and the organ Trio Sonatas. He has performed at concerts in Brescia, Darfo Boario Terme (Brescia) and in the Cathedral of Asolo (Treviso). He continues his career with an intense series of concert performances and has an extensive repertoire ranging from early music to contemporary composers. He has been invited to give a recital in St Peter’s Cathedral, Belfast Northern Ireland later this year.
Currently he is titular organist in the Brescia’s parish churches of Folzano, Mompiano and Castenedolo.
He recently published his first CD for Da Vinci Publishing: "La Nativité du Seigneur" by Olivier Messiaen.
